Astra Knight Writings is the website and newsletter of author Astra Knight. In this notice, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the author activities conducted under Astra Knight Writings. Information handled when you visit

Our website files do not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts, and the website’s own code does not set advertising or tracking cookies. This does not mean that visiting the website involves no processing of personal information.

Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and security services. It may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request times, and security events. Contacting the author

Contact links open your email application. If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any information you include. We use that information to respond to your inquiry. Sending a message does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Author email is handled through Gmail, provided by Google. Messages can include your name, email address, message contents, attachments, and related correspondence details. See Google’s privacy policy. Please send only information relevant to your inquiry and avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary for us to respond.

Newsletter subscriptions

Our newsletter signup is hosted by Kit. When you subscribe, information handled can include your email address, any optional details you submit, confirmation and subscription status, and preferences. Kit may also process technical and email-interaction information, such as signup details, delivery events, opens, and link clicks, depending on its features and the account settings in use.

We use subscriber information to manage subscriptions and send author news, book announcements, and related updates you request. Astra Knight Writings is responsible for its use of the subscriber information; using Kit does not transfer that responsibility to Kit.

Kit’s handling of subscriber information on our behalf is described in its data processing addendum. Its privacy policy describes other information Kit handles for its own purposes. Signup pages, recommendations, and other Kit features may involve additional notices or choices. If you choose to subscribe to another creator’s newsletter, review that creator’s privacy notice as well.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or contact [email protected] for help. Unsubscribing stops future marketing messages from us; it is separate from requesting deletion of records.

Why information is used and shared

Information is used to deliver and protect the website, respond to inquiries, provide requested newsletters, maintain subscription preferences, and meet applicable obligations. We do not sell our newsletter mailing list.

Information may be handled by the service providers described above and their service providers as needed to perform these functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. Provider practices and available controls can differ from those of Astra Knight Writings.

How long information is kept

Newsletter information is kept while needed to manage your subscription. Following an unsubscribe or deletion request, limited records may still be retained to honor your opt-out, document subscription choices, address disputes, or meet applicable requirements. Unsubscribing does not necessarily erase your record from Kit.

Correspondence may be kept while an inquiry is ongoing and afterward where needed for follow-up, recordkeeping, or legal reasons. Retention of technical logs and backup copies also depends on the relevant provider’s settings, procedures, and obligations. Deletion procedures vary by record type and provider, subject to applicable legal deadlines. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may choose not to subscribe or contact us and can browse the public website without creating an account with us. Depending on your location and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may be entitled to withdraw that consent. Applicable law may also provide complaint or appeal rights.

Send requests to [email protected] and describe the information or subscription involved. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your records. We will assess requests and respond within the periods required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained, or a request may be subject to an exception; we will explain any applicable limitation.

Third-party websites and purchases

Retailer, social-media, and newsletter links can take you to services operated by others. Their notices and choices govern their own handling of information. Purchases made through retailers take place on their websites; this website does not process payments or collect payment-card details.

Location and security

Astra Knight Writings is based in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries, including countries different from where you live. Applicable protections depend on the service and the laws and arrangements governing that processing.

No website, email service, or method of online storage can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, financial account details, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for an author inquiry.

Children

This website promotes adult fantasy and is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.
